Two volumes bound in one, octavo, contemporary dark blue-green half calf gilt, bit worn, bookplate, minor foxing. Dibdin, later famed as a bibliographer extraordinary, here has produced and edited a lovely book, printed in the classic Bulmer style. Dibdin used Robinson's translations and has appended extensive bibliographical notes and critical asides, as well as providing the first good bibliographical checklist of editions of Utopia.
