It is considered one of the most important archaeological sites of Maya culture. A large raised stone pedestrian causeway links Uxmal with the site of Kabah. At Uxmal, Kabah, Sayil, and Labná, each major building is unique, many composed with exceptional refinement, the buildings and courts richly juxtaposed, creating distinctive urban spaces.
