The story of Robinson Crusoe, written by Daniel Defoe, illustrated with numerous black and white sketches plus ten exquisite color plates by renown Brazilian graphic artist Caryb�. Colophon: 5,040 copies on Swiss Offset paper, specially made by Elof Hanson of G�teborg, numbered from 1 to 5,040. This work is one of the earliest artistic efforts in the career of Caryb�, at the time still living in Buenos Aires. Cort�zar's translation also came early in his career, when he was age 30, and still living in Buenos Aires. Caryb� has lived most of his live in Bahia, Brazil; Cort�zar in Paris, France. Stiff, white, pictorial wrappers printed aqua, dark brown, light brown, and red; blue and black lettering printed across the spine; illustrations; color plates; signatures hand-sewn with white thread; dust jacket with identical design printed aqua, dark brown, light brown, and red; blue and black; illustrations.
