xii, 166 pages. Hardcover: H 22.75cm x L 15.25cm. No dust jacket (i.e. lacking). Blue cloth; spine's gilt lettering a but dulled but still easily legible; front board's gilt lettering remains vibrant; discoloration to rear board's upper left. Slight foxing/toning to text block edges. Endpapers well toned. Interesting ink stamp on front pastedown "Dargeboten von der 'Kriegegefangenenhiife' des Weltkomitees der Christlichen Vereine Junger Manner Genf" (Presented by the Prisoners of War Committee of the World Committee of Young Men's Christian Associations Geneva) and, per notated ink stamp "Lagerbuecherei Aliceville" plus U.S. Censor stamp on front free endpaper, evidently the book was presented to a WWII German POW held at Alabama's Camp Aliceville although it is curious why an English-language book originally published in New York would be sent to a German prisoner. Interior pages are otherwise clean. Binding retains some crispness.
