VIPER 9 - Bloodline of Death: An Elite 'Black Operations' Squad

Eleven years ago in London, England, a young MI5 agent was snatched by ‘person’s unknown’. The British agent was at this time deeply embroiled in an operation involving the defecting of a Russian Colonel-General. This disgruntled Colonel-General had recently been demoted from an Admiral of the fleet, in the highly secret department of the Russian Naval Special Projects. This defection and the documents this Colonel-General brought with him, in short, were the hottest pieces of information the west had seen in many years in relation to Russia. With the British Security Services drawing a blank for years; Two of the Viper Squad had been secretly tasked to investigate the abduction of this agent, who had committed it and why? Now eleven years on, with pieces of old information and video footage highlighted, the jigsaw suddenly starts coming together. Viper is now on the hunt for the abductors of their fellow British colleague, and what he had discovered. Little did they know it was Doomsday in many different ways, just waiting to happen! VIPER is a secret Elite ‘Black’ Operations squad, formed in Margaret Thatcher’s era following the Iranian Siege in London and continues to this day. A closely guarded British secret, handed down from one Prime Minister to the next. Operations are sanctioned only by the current serving British PM, through Charles Baker the commander of Viper. This is David’s 9th book in the ‘Viper’ series, and he is currently working on Viper 10. The Viper books have been described in reviews as: Thrilling, action driven, clandestine operations at its best, up there with Vince Flynn, Lee Child and Robert Ludlum.

David Baker was born in Scotland due to his father serving in the Royal Air Force. After his schooling in the UK, he served an Apprenticeship in engineering, electronics and statistical analysis. He joined a British Police Force in 1982. He was injured in the line of duty and is now retired.
