Chapter One
I wanted something new and true,I thought something right would come from you;
Like my soul had begun to explain to me,
To be loved by you would make me free;
To feel the happiness complete and true,
All I needed was to fall in love with you.
You are everything that no one else could ever be,
You are the light in the tunnel that made me see;
You are the beating of my heart and soul,
You are the completion of my life's goal;
You are the flowers in my garden of love,
You are all of the beauty of a flying dove;
You are forever in un-numbered days,
I am in love with you in every way.
Once hands were tied,
Eyes were closed,
Shoes untied,
Ears deaf to the voices,
On knees and weak,
Attempted to open eyes,
Squinting – you appeared,
Back to my feet,
Intrigued by you I listened,
Your voice of whispers,
I am that one – you said,
Your lips never moved,
We both became mystified,
Then utter silence,
I felt you love me,
It has all returned,
In my arms I held you,
So close that we were one,
Our lives combined to one soul,
Forever you became the Destiny.
It's a tearless dawn,
It's fearless and gone,
Sometimes there is compromise,
Eventually moisture fills one's eyes,
So much, they get tangled in the lies,
Sometimes it threatens and then it dies.
Dreams of gold, not of this but of tomorrow;
Years of waiting, but never to be of sorrow;
Not to inherit, not to win, just bounty of labors;
Hard compromises with the likes to eventually savor;
Laughing aloud at one that is able to carry the thrown;
When they sit before you, remember you've become unknown.
Dreams touched by fingertips,
Palms of sweaty grasps lose grip,
Pulling away from the silent desires,
Wanting all that burns in the fire.
Morning songs from the darkness of the leaves,
Calming thoughts too symphonic to believe,
Eyes still blistered of the night's past,
Remembrances of love that will not last;
Winds carry time before you in taunts,
Wishes for memories that will not haunt;
Clearing the breath from your soul,
Confusion embedded where to go;
Beauty lies before you in mystic places,
Your eyes open to see new faces;
Smiles cover them in full,
But cautions set and you wonder their goal;
Found deep inside the memory of last,
The test is complete and you have passed.
The darkness consumes me,
All I ever wanted was to be free,
The air - it never changes,
My head always rearranges,
The echoes come from outside,
I move distances that seem very wide,
I know there is another out there,
I keep hearing them - maybe they don't care,
I guess that I will always wonder since I can't see,
Just a toy - inside a ping pong ball, I will always be.
Temptation you provoke me,
Broke free as it spoke to me,
Fear of failures caution me,
My soul has been rationed, I'm free.
Rain of red cover me,
Clouds of gray threaten me,
It pours upon me with no resistance,
Rainbows turn of blackness to all,
Triumph – a world disintegrates,
Awakened to one's fears,
Nightmares continue through the day,
Primal screams that no one can hear,
Oceans of mud washing them away,
Tears falling from eyes as icicles,
It is a world in which they have created,
Remembrance of yesterday – now only forgotten,
Rains of red in love with me,
Rains of red have covered me.
Love Is Painful
Love is confusing; it has a disguise,
Some say that it comes with so many lies.
We don't know, but it makes us feel great,
But when this love is over it carries hate.
With time I chose to sit alone,
Finding in no one - standards of my own,
The Devine guides me by day,
I search for you and pray,
Soon our souls will meet I see,
One day you arrive just for me.
We met so far away,
Although no one could see,
Loving you every day,
Just as you love me,
Now so many wonder,
Why our love is so true,
We are rolling thunder,
I am forever in Love with you.
Passion hot as an eternal flame,
Now cold as ice,
Silent laughter,
Is it the mood?
Lost, lost more than that extinct,
Thoughts of becoming foreign,
One's own mind diluted,
Realities unexpressed,
Devil's blood or Holy water,
Feelings are spiritual,
One's thoughts disgraced.
Even though you may not comprehend my dreams and visions,
I have seen in them the truth of my very own realities.
Struggling – struggling all the way through life,
Pushing so desperate, can't even feel the knife,
I've tried so hard - blind to what is the use,
Was I misled or was it just self-abuse?
Love is good, it should be true,
He got AIDS because of you,
Tell him how you could lie,
Along with you many will die,
What you have we cannot fight,
Giving it to others is just not right,
You did it once and then again,
We feel sorry for all those men,
You were wrong and could not live,
For all you had was death to give.
Sometimes in life one hopes to be wrong,
Then finds that they are right,
So many out there tend to fail,
Yet you must still fight.
Dad
You brought me into this world
To give me love and show how much you care,
As I sit here looking at our picture
I remember the stories we used to share,
I know sometimes I was a problem
And maybe even I was just a big pain,
But as I look at the one whose resemblance I carry
I know that someday I too will have a child to name,
Even though I was far from the best
I know you will always be my father for all of my years,
I look at this picture and I see two of the same.
When you are hurting – Dad- I cry the same tears,
Please don't look down on me for all of my mistakes,
Because I look up to you even when you cry.
Everything that I am I must thank you for
I know we love each other dearly I'll tell you why,
Because father I am in your wondrous image
My only question is why we are as separate as two;
I just want to say you're my father to love and respect,
The one who cares so I thank you and I Love You.
Time dwindles on endlessly,
Found another desperate lost soul,
Reasons gone on to another,
Wholeness completely one's goal.
Tears of blood fall from my eyes,
Remembering deceitful lies;
Awaking late into the night to scream my name,
Living lies you cannot lose your shame;
Futile attempts of redemption don't understand,
Everything had been given for your every demand;
You have forgotten my name but I dream of you,
Have you found insanity, as only I was to do;
Conceptual perceptions truth now dead,
Now you know what's so wrong in your head;
To die lonely is an awful way to go,
Always I feel you're beautiful to know;
Kiss me in heaven that is all I ask,
Loving you was my hardest task.
I look up, I look up, and what do I see?
All of them are waving back at me;
I look down, I look down, and some of them are on the ground;
I think, I think, where will they go?
Then I remember this is how they grow;
Is it a nut, is it a nut, no it's a seed,
Plant it now and it will become a new tree;
Here is the rain, here is the rain, watering the ground,
The tree grows, the tree grows without a sound;
It becomes home, it becomes home to a bird or two;
This beautiful tree, this beautiful tree is here for me and you.
You loved me more,
Even when I loved you less;
Now together forever,
Because your love is the Best.
Time seems to continue to dwindle on,
And now the days go until infinity,
Wisdom has grown within to that of elders,
All these things we have seen so young,
No more does it all seem so clear,
We know one day it all ends,
Take another look into your mirror,
Realizing what you can or will become.
Nights are young and shimmering,
Days long as the winter white caps,
Destiny so strong that evil's weeded out,
Fortress builds strong as brick walls,
Gains, gaining our strength again,
The public a new enemy for all,
Then family's long awaited arrival,
Soon cries becomes prayers,
Long away are those of our castle,
Powerless they become,
The men that once were our country,
Strong and mighty they live,
The rich and powerful Kings,
Us – the weak and the helpless,
Here comes another beckoning call,
Devine come help us as we have become weak,
We are strong and mighty in our souls,
So many see our truth as evil,
Yet wrong is the power of all-good,
A bullet in the back, another soul lost.
Days are awakened in the light,
Just your dreams into the nights,
Trees ablaze into the woods,
Causing wonder of what's still good.
There's a rainbow of tears in everyone's eyes,
It's a time to live and a time to die,
It can find you in any place,
But you still hide in that little space,
It's just a few tears that trickle down your face,
It's your game of life and it's not a race.
There's a waterfall of tears flowing from my eyes,
I gave you my heart – you gave me your lies,
I let you have one chance to be true,
Never thinking that I would be hurt by you,
Wanting you back when I could not see,
I wished of destiny for you and me,
I can't close my eyes – love never ends,
You cut my heart – now it needs you to mend,
No one wants it but love comes with many names,
Playing for keeps – no lies – That's the only game.
Hell filled his long cold night,
Through the moans you could see his fight,
He fought the words in the letters with his tears,
Drawing him down from deep inside his fears,
He became alone wanting to be free,
His game of life only so short left to be,
He played his life well for all with a need,
Love and compassion he spread like a weed,
He was on his journey to a distant place,
He lost his words as death slapped his face,
His soft heart and powerful mind,
That man was always one of a kind.
As I ride the wind throws my hair,
The feeling I don't have to care,
Ahead the road narrows into the trees,
The whole time knowing this is where to be,
I ride by the streams where I like to fish,
I go through trails with the ponds where I wish,
This freedom consumes me in my day,
Soon the wilderness and a place to lay,
The whispers come to me from very far,
I now feel at home hoping you feel this where you are.
If I had a dream, it would be of you,
Love is no lie – it can be true,
Love has a disguise - it likes to play,
Somehow you will find it – I pray,
Money doesn't matter – Love has no greed,
Love is just a feeling that everyone needs,
Love is something that you should show,
If it comes to you – you sure will know.
Your life is troubled,
Mine is too,
I don't care what they want,
I want you.
Confused
He began looking under rocks,
Hiding between the trees,
He had confusion in his brain,
Wondering was his girlfriend a sleaze,
Which stone would be his soul?
His heart ripped into two,
Headaches plagued him daily,
Not knowing what he could do.
Feeling Love
Love will come and love will go,
Everyone needs love this we know;
Love is a feeling that we all should see,
Love is something to set one free.
The innocence of his youth,
The cuteness as he spoke to her picture,
The emerging energy from his energy machine,
The laughter at all of our humility,
The mischievous smiles after the naughtiness,
The quiet whispers of love for all,
The unbiased visions of all others,
The portrayal of the family pet,
The questions he knows the answers to,
The "I love you's" 100 times a day,
The endless amounts of hugs and kisses,
The fascination with a thing you thought to be boring,
The undeniable fact that he is definitely growing,
The life, the love, the laughter,
The innocence of his youth.
Could Life Be
If life was what it could be,
Everyone would understand me;
You could respect a man by his word,
Or discover the jock inside a nerd;
We would have the will and would find a way,
Atheists would find The Devine and pray;
This world could be beautiful to see,
If we all made life what it could be.
The Fire in My Soul
You light the fire inside of my soul,
I was lost and I had nowhere to go;
But you found the person inside of me,
And taught him how he could break free;
You incited him to become happy and true,
You loved him and he fell in love with you;
The infinite eternity with you is now the goal,
You light the fire inside of my soul.
Mystic dreams encompass the cognitive mind,
Spiritual beings often sought out to find;
Intuitive beginnings softly they are abound,
Relative creations soon shall move to be found;
Uttering voices fill those visions of true love,
This dream waits to discover the flying dove;
Bountiful memories of past perceived,
New entanglements soon to conceive;
Lasting the memories of those gone astray,
Constructing perfection as it ought to be one day;
Never discouraged in the waking nights,
Often devoured in another lonely flight;
But this journey arrived once short of the past,
Creations of eternity are destined to last;
The soul hath come to be that of you,
Love surviving, as it is pure and true.
As I pulled the shades up,
I opened a window to the world,
The sun melting through the dingy glass
into my little den called my office.
I found the leaves in that tree just outside
the window tickling the wind,
A few clouds passed and hid that bright sun for just a moment.
The birds were flying gracefully about and I am sure they were singing,
But I was not to hear anything other than those thoughts
that consumed my head as I typed on my keyboard.
The world seemed oblivious to my presence,
As I am sure I was the same towards it.
I made my mistake,
I can't explain why,
If I had told her,
I would've lost her with the lie,
It's done and gone,
But still there is pain,
In this losing battle,
What have I to gain?
It is gone now,
One bad part of me,
I lost my game,
One with three,
Pray to heaven's mercy today,
The cry, all night,
Losing that battle,
Makes me believe I must fight.
My dreams touch my fingertips,
Palms of sweat cannot grip;
Pulling away the silent desire,
Wanting all that burns in the fire;
Temptations you provoke me,
I break away it spoke to me;
Fears of failures cautions me,
My souls rations set me free ...
Looking around to find the dream,
Things go so fast and can't remember yesterday,
What once was is no longer,
Wanting so much for your tomorrow,
Needing support and it never arrives,
Looking in the mirror only to continue to see the same face,
Time begins to leave him so desperate,
Nights become dark and lonely,
Life has changed his answers and turned them away,
Others come and envision to him a fantasy,
No one can see the pain that encompasses him,
Everyone laughs at him as tears roll down his face,
Nightmares continue to prove him a reality,
No longer can he contain these insanities,
Love in life had been so strong,
Physically he had perfection,
Insights go forward in mystic truths,
Wisdom is of him by years he does not know,
At the peak of his discombobulated reality,
He feels the pull from the ground to his feet,
He begins to feel the presence of his future,
Eyes open wide and soul becomes free.
For every day that we live;
For every thought that we give;
So much that we see is true;
Each one so little as we do;
A life struggling with your own fears;
Thoughts began flowing with each of the tears;
Some day all will be as one;
Yet it will seem as nothing is done;
Someday we leave it all for the past;
But we go on living like it will always last ...
Her photogenic eyes gleamed brightly,
They complimented the beauty of her smile,
Warming anyone that was to envision her.
So many times come to be
Comfort from places not wanted,
No more want for this
Suffering within one's self,
Wanting life to be greater,
To many, it's wrong,
Few claim its justice.
The feast began and there was family all around,
Soon came the clatter of dishes and no longer a sound,
They went to the house as they do on every holiday,
But simply for presents and eating without much else to say,
The children were with them each one as innocent as they are,
However, even the children were not happy
to simply eat and get in to the car,
Somehow the family values have gone and become lost at sea,
But I smiled and spoke a word or two and
reiterated what family is to me.
