About the Author
Qingyu Zhang received his Ph.D. in Manufacturing Management and Engineering from the College of Business Administration of the University of Toledo. He is a Certified Fellow in Production and Inventory Management (CFPIM) by APICS. He is also certified MCSD, MCSE, and MCDBA by Microsoft. He is an associate professor at Arkansas State University. He has published in European Journal of Operational Research, International Journal of Production Research, Journal of Operations Management, International Journal of Production Economics, Kybernetes: International Journal of Systems and Cybernetics, Industrial Management & Data Systems, International Journal of Operations and Production Management, International Journal of Logistics Management, Journal of Systems Science and Systems Engineering, International Journal of Product Development, International Journal of Quality and Reliability Management, European Journal of Innovation Management, and International Journal of Information Technology and Decision Making. Dr. Zhang's research interests are supply chain management, value chain flexibility, e-commerce, product development, and data mining.
Richard S. Segall is associate professor of computer & information technology at Arkansas State University. He holds BS and MS in mathematics, MS in operations research and statistics from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, and PhD in operations research form University of Massachusetts at Amherst. His publications have appeared in journals including International Journal of Information Technology and Decision Making, Applied Mathematical Modeling, Kybernetes: International Journal of Systems and Cybernetics, and Journal of the Operational Research Society. He has book chapters in Encyclopedia of Data Warehousing and Mining, Handbook of Computational Intelligence in Manufacturing and Production Management, and Handbook of Research on Text and Web Mining Technologies. His research interests include data mining, text mining, web mining, database management, and mathematical modeling, and have been funded by U.S. Air Force, NASA, Arkansas Biosciences Institute, and Arkansas Science & Technology Authority. He is a member of the Editorial Board of the International Journal of Data Mining, Modeling and Management, the Program Committees of the 13th and 14th World Multi-Conference on Systemics, Cybernetics and Informatics, and Local Arrangements Chair of the 2010 MidSouth Computational Biology & Bioinformatics Society Conference.
Mei Cao is an Assistant Professor at the University of Wisconsin-Superior. She received her Ph.D. in Manufacturing Management and Engineering from the College of Business Administration of the University of Toledo. She has publications in various academic journals such as European Journal of Operational Research, International Journal of Production Research, International Journal of Operations and Production Management, Journal of Systems Science and Systems Engineering, Information & Management, Industrial Management & Data Systems, International Journal of Product Development, International Journal of Services Technology and Management. She serves on the editorial boards of International Journal of Operations Research and Information Systems, and International Journal of Information Technology Project Management. She received Distinguished Paper Award by McGraw-Hill/Irwin at the Midwest Business Administration Association Annual Meeting in Chicago in 2004. Her research interests include Supply Chain Management, Transportation and Logistics, Flexibility, and Inter-Organizational Information Systems. Her research has been funded by the National Center for Freight and Infrastructure Research and Education (CFIRE) and Midwest Regional University Transportation Center (MRUTC) under the sponsorship of the Department of Transportation.
