Vakeva (and) the Wizard: A Wizard Realm short

Amidst the mist-shrouded hills of 15th-century Ireland, Vakeva roams the perilous back roads with her steadfast companion, Merlin—a donkey that pulls her rickety cart of precious wares. At just sixteen and orphaned, Vakeva ekes out a living, bartering between the English-controlled Dublin Pale and the pastoral interior of the Ireland that still belonged to the Irish. Hers is a solitary journey, guided by her wits and the unyielding resolve of a survivor.

But one fateful evening, after thwarting an ambush by marauders, she finds herself sharing a campfire with a mysterious traveler in a secluded woodland clearing. What begins as a perceived chance encounter soon reveals magical threads of destiny that will entwine their lives and reveal the hidden fabric of the world they inhabit.

Vakeva (and) the Wizard is the spellbinding prelude to the Wizard Realm Saga, where the line between reality and magic blurs, and pivotal figures take their first or last steps on a path that will change history forever. But forever is a long time. Venture into a realm of danger, wonder, and destiny in this captivating tale.
