A Valentinian Exposition: The Ancient Gnostic Cosmology - Unlocking the Secret Myths of Sophia, the Pleroma, and Esoteric Christian Wisdom (Large ... Reading) (Library of Alexandria - Esoteric)

A Valentinian Exposition provides a compelling modern translation of one of the most sophisticated and philosophically rich works of the Nag Hammadi Library. This ancient text, attributed to an anonymous follower of the great Gnostic teacher Valentinus, recounts the breathtaking cosmic myth of the ultimate, unknowable Father and the complex divine hierarchy known as the Pleroma.

Far more than a historical artifact, A Valentinian Exposition delves into profound themes of spiritual exile, the search for true divine knowledge, and the intricate mythology of Sophia-the divine wisdom whose fall from grace inadvertently birthed the material universe. It challenges mainstream interpretations of creation, offering a highly symbolic lens where the pursuit of inner spiritual restoration reigns supreme.

What You'll Discover in This Modern Translation:

• The Mystical Realm of the Pleroma Explore the fascinating structure of the divine spiritual universe and its intricate, luminous emanations.
• The Tragic Myth of Sophia Discover the profound esoteric story of divine wisdom's fall, her sorrow in the material realm, and her ultimate redemption.
