Copyright Edition. [4], 379, [1] p.; 16 cm. Contemporary calf spine with five spine compartments between raised bands; gilt-tooled title and decoration on spine. Marbled paper over boards. Collection of British Authors, v. 170. This novel was one of the last things Marryat wrote and was published after his death in 1848. It was his only novel featuring a female main character.
