This eBook collects the unknown case studies featured in the original Practice of Interventional Radiology text. This book is geared towards medical students, residents, and physicians in practice who are looking for an introduction to (or brief survey of) the specialty. The book includes 110 unknown cases that encompass the spectrum of diseases and procedures encountered in routine IR work. The modules are interactive - as you scroll through each case, questions are posed about the findings on the images presented, the differential diagnosis, characteristics of the particular disease, and possible treatment options.
From the Author
Brief, interactive, and accessible everywhere - that's what the new generation of medical trainees want from educational materials. Hence our decision to create an entirely online application from the unknown case studies of Valji's recently published Practice of Interventional Radiology. The book is geared towards medical students, residents, and physicians in practice who are looking for an introduction to (or brief survey of) the specialty.
The eBook includes 118 unknown cases that encompass the spectrum of diseases and procedures encountered in routine interventional radiology (IR) work. A new set of case studies cover critical aspects of care and evaluation IR patients. The modules are interactive - as you scroll through each case, questions are posed about the findings on the images presented, the differential diagnosis, characteristics of the particular disease, and possible treatment options. The exercises should offer an engaging introduction to IR for medical students, a means to test a resident's knowledge of the specialty, or a quick and comprehensive review of the field for those already in practice.
