Third Edition. Octavo; xvi, 564 pp. Dustjacket illustration by Ernie Morris. Black & white photo-illustrations. Rust colored boards stamped with gold. lettering, dust jacket has small chips to spine end and lower front corner; chipps and short tears to spine head. First published in 1979, this third edition was expanded from 312 pp to 564 pp with new material. The sequel to "These Were the Vaqueros" continues the story of the Hispanic horsemen of California and his Gringo pupil, the buckeroo, who learned his lesson so well that he has won the admiration of the world.
