Only the first five issues had ''Vargo Statten'' in the title - it was renamed THE BRITISH SCIENCE FICTION MAGAZINE for issues 6 - 12, then retitled again as THE BRITISH SPACE FICTION MAGAZINE for issues 13 - 19. . The first three issues were large pulp-size format, reverting to several smaller formats from no 4. The first six issues edited by Alistair Paterson (and published by Scion), the rest by John Russell Fearn himself (and published, from no 8, by Dragon Publications).
