Immediate dispatch from Somerset. Nice book in great condition. Pages in excellent condition. Images are beautiful bright and vivid. Very very slight tan to page edges. No notes or highlighting. See images. Fantastic book. About the book >.>.> In this first comprehensive study of her life and work, Varvara Stepanova (1894-1958) emerges as a remarkable artist, whose versatility, energy and contribution to the Russian avant-garde matched- and in some cases exceeded-that of her husband, Alexander Rodchenko. The book is written and designed by Alexander Lavrentiev-grandson of Rodchenko and Stepanova, and curator of their archive-and includes excerpts from Stepanova's diaries, articles and lectures, and a memoir by her daughter. But perhaps the most significant aspect of this unique study is the illustrations, most of which are published here for the first time and which reveal an artist startling in her creative originality. While shipping costs are generally accurate, if you notice a quote that seems too high, please contact us, we’ll happily review and adjust the price if possible.
