Martha Brotherton was an English cookbook writer and advocate for vegetarianism. In 1812, she published Vegetable Cookery, the first known vegetarian cookbook. Pages: [4], 451pp, [5], additional engraved title. Age toning, some damp staining at the front and the odd little mark here and there, otherwise pages are generally clean as shown. Size: 15.3cm by 10cm.
