Part One the author argues that the West Slavs are indigenous to Central Europe and that it was the West Slavic Veneti or Wends who were, through the Urnfieeld culture, one of the first disseminators of a major cultural complex in Central Europe. Through their migration originating circa 1200 BCE, they spread over a large area of the continent, including present day Austria, Slovenia, eastern Switzerland and norther Italy. Part two, the author inerprets Venetic and Old Etruscan inscriptions with help of the Slovene language and its surviving dialects and other Slavic languages including Old Church Slavic. Part three the main areas are reviewed and further elucidated by the author with a variety of studens and commentary.
