Venturing Where Few Have Dared to Go

Gene Burgess says: “My wife, Heather and I invite you to share our adventures through these stories, as we travel the frozen highways of Western Canada, through towns and cities all across this great country of America, and on to Asia.” Burgess left his secure profession as a pharmacist for a life of faith ministry. He describes times when their lives were in danger, spared only by divine intervention. He describes 12 years of operating American servicemen’s centers in Thailand and the Philippines for our men and women involved in the Vietnam War. He talks of the servicemen’s courage as they themselves became novice missionaries among the villages surrounding the American bases in Asia.
