Norman Williams, Jr. held a number of academic and professional positions including chief of New York City’s Master Planning Department, professor of urban planning at Rutgers University, professor at Arizona University, and finally professor at Vermont Law School. The recipient of the Distinguished Leadership Award of the American Planning Association, he is known for his eight volume work on American Land Planning and the Law.
