Christopher Kushmerick is a biophysicist and neurophysiologist specialized in cellular electrophysiology and synaptic transmission. He currently serves as a Professor of Pharmacology in the Department of Physiology at the Federal University of Sergipe (UFS) in Brazil, having previously held a long-term professorship at the Federal University of Minas Gerais (UFMG). His research focuses on the molecular mechanisms of neurotransmitter release and the modulation of ion channels.
