1 Sheet. Discusses the action on July 2, 1863, near Devil's Den, making his point that it was the pivotal battle of Gettysburg. Signed in print by H.M. Howell. Henry M. Howell enlisted in Co. E, 124th New York Infantry, on Aug. 9, 1862. He fought in the battles of Chancellorsville and Gettysburg; was wounded in the battle of Spotsylvania, Va., on May 12, 1864 and was mustered out of service at Lincoln Hospital, Washington D.C. on June 8 1865.
