- Book 2 of 3: From Vibe Coder to Software Engineer
Take your software from a simple prototype to a high-availability, production-grade application!
In Part 2: Building (Days 11–20) of the From Vibe Coder to Software Engineer series, follow Leo as he tackles full-stack architecture, relational database design, API protocols, and production security compliance under the mentorship of Staff Engineer Sarah.
Building real-world software requires more than generated code snippets—it demands scalable databases, resilient APIs, and enterprise security. Part 2 bridges the gap between frontend interfaces and backend infrastructure through 10 custom blueprint infographics, practical code walkthroughs, and real-world tech disaster analysis.
What You Will Master in Part 2 (Days 11–20):- Day 11: UI/UX & Design Systems — 8px spatial grid systems, design tokens, and accessibility contrast standards.
- Day 12: SDLC & Requirements Engineering — PRD specs, sequence diagrams, and user story mapping.
- Day 13: System Design & High Availability — Load balancing, horizontal scaling, and multi-node Redis caching.
- Day 14: SQL Relational Databases — B-Tree indexing, ACID transactions, and avoiding unindexed table scans.
- Day 15: NoSQL & Vector RAG Pipelines — Document databases, vector embeddings, and RAG architectures.
- Day 16: High-Performance Backend — Event-driven Node.js and FastAPI async coroutines.
- Day 17: API Protocol Architecture — REST vs GraphQL vs gRPC binary serialization.
- Day 18: Authentication & OAuth2 — JWT token rotation, HTTP-Only cookies, and RBAC authorization.
- Day 19: OWASP Top 10 Security — Preventing SQL Injection, XSS, and CSRF attacks.
- Day 20: Supply Chain Security & SBOM — Dependency audits, SBOM manifests, and zero-trust pipelines.
Features real-world production incident case studies, including the 2017 GitLab primary database loss and the 2017 Equifax data breach.

Store description
**Please note our transit times are from the date of dispatch.** We first started out as “The Paperback Exchange,” a chain of physical bookstores where we would part exchange your beloved books for new stories to transport you to faraway places. However, as shopping started to evolve to online shops and marketplaces, we bid our stores goodbye to become “PBShop.” This transition has only allowed us to blossom as we now ship thousands of titles to book lovers across the globe. We pride ourselves in being a community of local book lovers which allows our passion and devotion to shine in everything we do. In 2020 we not only celebrated our 20th birthday but our 1st birthday as being completely employee owned after becoming an E.O.T in September 2019. We are proud to be different and embrace standing apart on a book mountain by working from a virtual inventory which allows us to provide thousands of books that may be difficult to get for your bookshelf or your studies. Working with a number of different suppliers allows us to explore other avenues such as puzzles, sheet music and even stationery so we really do have something for everyone. Life is about being versatile in all realms of existence. If this is your first purchase with us, or you are a returning customer, we would like to welcome you to the PBShop family, for there is no friend as loyal as a book. We are a company who put our customers at the centre of everything we do as we understand the importance of reading because once you learn to read, you will forever be free. There are a whole lot of things in this world of ours that we are yet to explore, which is why we will forever inspire curious minds.…
