This is an antique copy of "THE VICAR OF WAKEFIELD" by Oliver Goldsmith. 1844; Piercy & Reed; New York. Decorative cloth binding with gilt lettering and designs on the spine. Smaller in size - the book measures 6" tall x 4" wide. Condition: Clean front cover and spine; there are a couple tiny, light stains at the bottom of the back cover. The top and bottom edges of the spine are worn. Bright gilt lettering on the spine. Tiny cloth tears at the cover corners. Tight binding with no cracks and no loose pages. Occasional foxing to the pages, otherwise clean. Inscription written in ink dated 1848 on the front end paper. Overall the book is in Very Good- condition.
