About the Author

Claude Serre est n� en 1938. Tout d'abord d�corateur de porcelaine puis de vitraux, il d�bute sa carri�re de dessinateur humoriste en 1962 en proposant de nombreuses illustrations dans Plexus, Plan�te, Hara Kiri, Le Pariscope ou Lui. Il dessine �galement des affiches pour le cin�ma, le th��tre et la publicit�. L'ann�e 1972 marque un tournant dans sa carri�re puisqu'il rencontre Jacques Gl�nat, pour lequel il publie Humour noir et Hommes en blanc. Vont suivre une quinzaine d'albums sur des th�mes aussi �clectiques que Le Bricolage, L'Automobile ou La Bouffe, rencontrant d'ann�e en ann�e un succ�s grandissant. Ce succ�s lui a permis d'�tre traduit dans quatorze pays (Allemagne, Portugal, Hollande, �tats-Unis...) montrant ainsi que la BD d'humour se porte bien. Il dispara�t en 1998, laissant derri�re lui une œuvre consid�rable.
