Viceroys: Enter at Your Own Risk (The Back and Forth Series)

Enter at Your Own Risk.

VICEROYS is a work of literary fiction that drifts between hallucination, satire, and myth. Told in fragments—stories, poems, dialogues, sermons, and drunken revelations—the book traces a restless mind searching for balance between pleasure, intellect, and escape.

Across bars, classrooms, ceremonies, and imagined realms, the narrator moves through addiction, masculinity, marriage, teaching, friendship, and grief.

By turns darkly comic and painfully intimate, VICEROY interrogates the stories we tell ourselves to survive: about success, self-control, spirituality, and being “above average.” It is a book about distraction as salvation, awareness as burden, and the thin line between insight and self-destruction.

Unfiltered, irreverent, and emotionally raw, VICEROY will resonate with readers drawn to experimental structure, philosophical fiction, and unapologetically human narrators—those willing to sit with discomfort, contradiction, and the uneasy beauty of unraveling.
