Synopsis:
Take a journey with a young man whose passion and relentless desire to play Division I college football propels him from a childhood dream to high school stardom. His hard work and dedication at Victor Valley High School pays off and lands him at the prestigious United States Military Academy at West Point. After successfully completing camp, his football hopes are high until an unforeseen event launches him into a dark depression. An emotional decision leads to the abandonment of his childhood dream and causes him to leave the academy. Left with a shattered dream, distracted by fast money, alcohol, and the nightlife, he struggles to stay in college. As he matures and endures other hardships on the road to success, the only thing he knows is that he can’t give up. He must keep his eyes on the prize!
About the Author: C. A. Henderson was born in San Bernardino, California and grew up in Rialto, CA where his football dreams grew to an extreme level. He later moved to Victorville, CA to live with his father where he played three seasons at Victor Valley High School and earned a football scholarship to the prestigious United States Military Academy at West Point. After a short stint at West Point, Henderson transferred to San Jose State University where he earned his Bachelor of Arts in African-American Studies. Henderson later earned his Master of Arts in Education.
