9-volume set ships as one item! (No additional postage necessary.) All books and dustjackets are in new condition (the lower right corner of the front cover of Volume III appears to have a tiny bump--the shrinkwrap is rather bunched here, making a clear view difficult); Volumes 1 thru 8 have dustjackets of cream matte paper, and are in the publisher's original shrinkwrap; Volume 9 has a dustjacket with a gloss finish, and is not shrinkwrapped (as best I can tell, the publisher never shrinkwrapped any copies of Volume IX). A multi-year project, Volume I was published in 1993 in an edition of 750 copies; Volumes II - IX were published from 1995 to 2006 in editions of 500 copies each. Most entries strive to include the publisher and approximate date of publication, for both the first English and the first American editions (as well as other important editions), especially the first yellowback edition. Each volume contains an introductory history of yellowbacks, a section of color photographs, and author / title / series indexes.
