About the Author:
Mick Martin was the film critic for The Sacramento Union for eighteen years. He is also a noted blues musician, having recorded with Jimmy Smith on the album Sum Serious Blues, and played at Carnegie Hall's 1994 Blues in Jazz concert. His music was most recently featured on Mick Martin and the Blues Rockers' internationally released CD, Good Reaction, from JSP records.
Marsha Porter, author of numerous short stories, articles, and a teacher's handbook, holds a master's degree in educational administration. She's taught a foreign films class and written a monthly column. Currently, she does freelance writing and editing and teaches English.
