A View Of The Scriptures: And Of Natural Knowledge (1838)

A View of the Scriptures and of Natural Knowledge is a book written by J. Hatchard and Son in 1838. The book explores the relationship between the Bible and scientific knowledge, seeking to reconcile the two in a way that is consistent with Christian beliefs. The author argues that the Bible and natural knowledge are complementary, rather than contradictory, sources of truth. The book covers a range of topics, including the creation of the world, the nature of God, and the role of humanity in the universe. It also examines the scientific discoveries of the time, such as geology and astronomy, and considers their implications for Christian theology. The author draws on a variety of sources, including the works of theologians, scientists, and philosophers, to support his arguments. Overall, A View of the Scriptures and of Natural Knowledge is a thought-provoking exploration of the relationship between faith and reason, and is still relevant to contemporary debates about science and religion. This scarce antiquarian book is a facsimile reprint of the old original and may contain some imperfections such as library marks and notations.
