By Isaac Watts and printed in Boston by Charles Ewer. 1819, 292 pp, 7 x 4.5 , 8vo, hardcover full leather. In good condition, with minor rubbing and wear to boards and spine. Some rubbing and loss to title label. Hinges remain tight and text block remains bound well. Loss to top half of first end page. Light markings and marginalia. General age-related toning to pages, along with periodic foxing and wear. Please see photographs and ask any questions prior to purchasing. A scarce religious work and early Boston imprint by Isaac Watts (1674-1748), an English theologian and hymn writer best known for writing and composing Joy to the World. COLR1819BHIG-0224-aj1068.
