By J. P. Nichol, LL.D, F.R.S.E., Professor of Practical Astronomy in the University of Glasgow. Republished from the last London and Edinburgh editions, to which has been added notes, a glossary, &c by the American publishers. Very good minus, second edition book. Dark brown cloth covered boards with blind-stamped illustrations and borders on front and back panels; gilt-stamped lettering and graphics on spine, as well as blind-stamped graphics. Boards are scuffed. Corners and edges at head and tail of board spine are split and fraying. Fore-edge corner tips are rubbed through, more so on the lower corners. External page edges are age-darkened and foxed. Double-page fold-out of Northern and Southern Hemispheres prior to title page, as well as 23 plates, most with tissue paper intact. Original FFEP may be missing. Previous owner's name/address on what is current FFEP. Old pencil notations on front papers. Heavy foxing on several of front-most internal pages. Age-toning and light foxing on the rest of the text pages. Please use close-up options for best inspection and in support of condition description. Additional photos available at your request.
