Hardback, Oblong 8vo. approx 5.5 x 9 inches. Dark blue cloth with blind embossed decorations to boards, and gilt lettering to front. All page edges gilt. Pale yellow endpapers. In very good condition. Some minor rubbing to cloth on corners and spine ends, some minor handling marks to boards. A couple of minor handling marks to endpapers, else clean, no penned inscriptions. Some minor marks to title page, tissue guards darkened. Plate 2; ?Keswick? has some mild foxing. Plate 3 has been loose and glued back in, edges are darkened and bottom edge is rubbed. A couple of minor handling marks else plates clean and bright. Else a very good clean and tight copy. 28 B&W steel-engraved views, all with tissue-guards. Drawn & engraved by Banks & Son, Edinburgh. Plus decorative engraved title page and William Banks advert at rear.
