Views of Matlock - 48 Miniature Engravings (1862)

A complete and very scarce volume of 48 miniature engravings depicting various views of Matlock, Derbyshire, produced 1860-62 and published 1862. Original blue cloth-covered boards are browned with some knocks and bumps around the outer edges and some significant moisture damage to the rear cover, overall a little loose particularly towards the rear but the majority of the contents are secure. Contents are complete, with most pages bearing some light browning and edge wear but the image remaining mostly clear and well-presented, including visible platemarks. Pages towards the rear have gained some more notable browning and damp-marking, which encroaches slightly on the images but with no major creases or wear.
