Nella presente indagine sei genotipi di fagiolo indiano resistenti (P-19- 169, V-19-15, V-19-35, GNIB-22, W-19-05, V-19-24) e sei altamente suscettibili (P-19-176, W-19- 60, P-19-127, V-19-11, W-19-58, V-19-106) sono stati esaminati con nove coppie di primer RGA. Sette coppie di primer RGA sono state amplificate con successo in tutti i genotipi resistenti, ma non in tutti i genotipi altamente suscettibili. Gli ampliconi sono stati ottenuti in sette coppie di primer RGA, dove cinque coppie di primer RGARGA1FCG &RGA1R,VMYR1F &VMYR1R,YR4F &YR4R, RGAIB3 &RGAIB4, RGAIB5 & RGAIB6 hanno amplificato bande singole di circa 450 bp, 450 bp, 450 bp, 450 bp e 1050 bp rispettivamente nei genotipi resistenti, mentre solo due coppie di primer RGA CYR1F &; CYR1R e RGAIB1 &; RGAIB2 sono state trovate con bande prominenti di circa 950 bp e 350 bp. Secondo i dati dell'indagine attuale, sette coppie di marcatori RGA si sono dimostrate efficaci nel differenziare i genotipi resistenti da quelli altamente suscettibili di fagioli indiani. Questi marcatori RGA possono essere impiegati nelle indagini di mappatura dei geni di resistenza e di validazione dei marcatori di resistenza duratura all'YMV.
