About this Item
Softcover. Signed and inscribed to a former owner not by the author -- but by Dawa Norbu Sherpa and dated July 7, 1980. Dawa Norbu Sherpa (d. 1997) was president of the Nepal Mountaineering Association and assisted many climbing expeditions. He established the first Sherpa-owned trekking company and was the driving force behind the Sherpa-led high altitude clean-up on Everest. The narrative covers various areas of Nepal, with interest from a climbing/trekking perspective and just general interest. Many black and white maps, and black and white and color photographs. Large foldout map of Nepal at the back. Good condition with light creases (that don't go all the way through) on the front cover. Very Uncommon. Seller Inventory # 000660
