After considering the state of Scandinavia during the later stages of the Viking Age, Professor Loyn returns to the Invasions themselves as they developed during the succeeding half century. he next discusses the very varying intensity of the Invasions so far as Wales, Ireland, Scotland and the Isles were concerned.
