One step closer to Unity. One step deeper into danger.

Waking up alone in a strange apartment in Austin, Texas wasn’t high on Daelia Hall’s list of preferred weekend activities. Being under guard is even less appealing. She wants nothing more than to escape her captors and get home, when a chance encounter points her in the opposite direction.

Unity, it seems, has a presence here in Austin. A significant one. A research facility where they’ve been conducting experiments on humans and abiota alike.

Now, hunted by a team of ex-military contractors who answer only to Unity, aided only by a mysterious emergent who speaks only in symbols, Daelia must work her way across the city to reach Unity’s facility. But Austin is a city that extends deep into virtual reality. Navigating that world is far more complicated—and dangerous—than she ever thought possible.

As Daelia uncovers the reality of Unity’s vision for the future, she must also confront her own past. But Unity is willing to do the unthinkable in order to stop Daelia from discovering the truth, and this time, there may be no escape.
