The Vision Engine: A Movement to Engineer a Life of Purpose, Passion, and Authority

Most people think a vision is something you chase.

Willie Barnes Jr. learned the hard way that chasing the wrong thing — no matter how hard you run — will not get you where you are trying to go.

He spent six years as a full-time entrepreneur, failing forward through a trucking company, real estate, publishing, and financial services, while his family moved between relatives' homes and eventually a hotel room in Orlando with everything they owned in the trunk of a car. It was in that hotel room that he discovered what actually drives a human being forward. Not a job. Not money. A vision. A clear, written, anchored picture of the life you want to live.

The Vision Engine is that discovery turned into a movement.

Built on five pillars — Faith, Family, Fitness, Finance, and Fun — the Vision Engine gives individuals a systematic way to stop reacting to life and start engineering it. It gives students a reason to stay in school when adversity says stop. It gives professionals a purpose that goes deeper than a paycheck. And it gives institutions a scalable, human-centered tool to move learners from passive to proactive.

This is not a motivational book. Motivation fades. This book is about building something your motivation can return to when it does.

The engine is ready. The question is whether you are willing to start it.
