Visit (By Command of His Majesty, the King) of His Excellency The Prime Minister of Nepal to HMS 'Dreadnought', Friday, June 19th, 1908

The book was produced as a diary/agenda for the Prime Minister's visit which included several other ships with the majority being turned over to appendices, giving basic details of the ships he was to see. A map of the track that the Dreadnought was to follow from the Nore to Long Sands Range is held in a pocket on the rear fixed endpaper. No date of stated, listed as 1908. A rare and fascinating item. Produced as commemoration of the visit and demonstration, not for general publishing. Includes 8 mounted-in photographs each protected by glisserine paper with captions. Bound in original blue calf decorated with Royal Arms and pattern in gilt with gilt lettering and all page edges. Rubbing to spine and scuffing and nicks to top of spine. Endpapers covered in ivory silk decorated at edges in gilt. Signature (illegible) on obverse of free endpaper in blue ink. Minor damage to gilt at head of rear fixed endpaper.
