Tan pictorial wrappers. 8vo. 84pp. Third edition. Illustrated. Folding map. Early promotional pamphlet for this historic peninsular area of Virginia. The content includes a short history of Old Point Comfort and information on Fort Monroe, Ward Memorial Hall, National Cemetery, Hampton Institute, Hampton, Newport News, Norfolk, Portsmouth, Williamsburg, Petersburg and much more including route information and fares. There is a folding colored map at front, measuring 14 by 22 inches, of Virginia and West Virginia and several smaller maps in the text as well as engraved illustrations of the Hygeia Hotel and other landmarks. A worn copy with some chipping to the left side of the front cover, the spine and cover edges. The text is good with some chipping to the upper corner of the pages, a small hole to the left side of the title page and some scattered soiling. The map is chipped along the top edge and has a long closed tear at the left side. It is detached from the binding. Scarce.
