He is the General Editor of the Bloomsbury Comics Studies Series, and his books include Visualizing Jewish Narrative: Jewish Comics and Graphic Novels (Bloomsbury Academic, 2016), Unfinalized Moments: Essays in the De elopement of Contemporary Jewish American Narrative (2012), and the forthcoming The Hernandez Brothers: Conversations.
Derek Parker Royal is Assistant Professor of English at Texas A&M University, Commerce. He has written numerous articles and book chapters on Roth and other topics, and he is the founder and president of the Philip Roth Society.
