Chip from the lower corner of the front wrapper, some light chipping to edges, front wrapper detached, a clean very good copy otherwise. Ownership stamp of F.B. Luquiens on upper front wrapper. Originally printed in the American Antiquarian Society Proceedings for April, 1912; this is not an off-print, but a separate book, the pages numbered 1 - 64. Printed by the Davis Press, Worcester. Of the exploration of Vitcos, also much concerning Machu Picchu and surrounding areas. Typographically identical to the publication in the Society Proceedings (pages 135-196), only the running headline and page numbers differ. Very scarce.
