It's a resource aimed at empowering every vocalist to find their voice, develop confidence, and understand their instrument.
Starting with The Foundation of Vocal Mastery, readers are guided through the essentials of vocal technique, vocal health, and understanding the voice as an instrument. Each section provides exercises and insights on proper breath control, tone production, and maintaining vocal health, ensuring a solid foundation for long-term success.
In Vocal Techniques Across Genres, the book explores stylistic flexibility, teaching readers how to adapt their voice for genres like classical, pop, jazz, and musical theatre. Techniques specific to contemporary music are explained alongside basic music theory and harmony to broaden the singer's musical knowledge and adaptability.
The Psychology of Singing delves into overcoming performance anxiety, building stage confidence, and making authentic emotional connections with the audience. This chapter tackles the mental side of performing, with exercises designed to help singers feel at ease and project their personality and style.
For those interested in exploring global techniques, World Singing Styles and Techniques covers the history of vocal traditions across cultures, with insights on incorporating these styles into modern singing. This chapter offers a fascinating look at the diversity of vocal techniques and how they can be adapted to enhance any singer's repertoire.
Building Your Singing Career takes singers beyond the technical, providing practical advice on beginning a professional career in music. Readers learn how to navigate the industry, build a personal brand, and use their voice in various professional roles beyond singing. With tips on marketing, networking, and resilience, this chapter is an invaluable guide for anyone pursuing singing as a career.
Finally, Pulling It All Together focuses on maintaining personal well-being, staying inspired, and pursuing continued education to keep growing as a vocalist. Included is a breakdown of AI tools that work best for practice, recording, and performance.
Packed with expert techniques, inspirational quotes, and real stories from legendary vocalists, Vocal Mastery is more than a manual-it's a guide to discovering one's own unique voice and achieving excellence in the art of singing. Store description
**Please note our transit times are from the date of dispatch.** We first started out as “The Paperback Exchange,” a chain of physical bookstores where we would part exchange your beloved books for new stories to transport you to faraway places. However, as shopping started to evolve to online shops and marketplaces, we bid our stores goodbye to become “PBShop.” This transition has only allowed us to blossom as we now ship thousands of titles to book lovers across the globe. We pride ourselves in being a community of local book lovers which allows our passion and devotion to shine in everything we do. In 2020 we not only celebrated our 20th birthday but our 1st birthday as being completely employee owned after becoming an E.O.T in September 2019. We are proud to be different and embrace standing apart on a book mountain by working from a virtual inventory which allows us to provide thousands of books that may be difficult to get for your bookshelf or your studies. Working with a number of different suppliers allows us to explore other avenues such as puzzles, sheet music and even stationery so we really do have something for everyone. Life is about being versatile in all realms of existence. If this is your first purchase with us, or you are a returning customer, we would like to welcome you to the PBShop family, for there is no friend as loyal as a book. We are a company who put our customers at the centre of everything we do as we understand the importance of reading because once you learn to read, you will forever be free. There are a whole lot of things in this world of ours that we are yet to explore, which is why we will forever inspire curious minds.…
