A Voice From Germany: Why German Peace Declarations Fail To Convince: Austria's Peace Proposals, The Letter To Prince Sixtus (1918)

""A Voice From Germany: Why German Peace Declarations Fail To Convince: Austrias Peace Proposals, The Letter To Prince Sixtus (1918)"" is a book written by Friedrich Wilhelm Foerster. The book explores the reasons behind the failure of German peace declarations during World War I to convince the international community of their sincerity. Foerster focuses on Austria's peace proposals and the letter written by German Chancellor Prince Max von Baden to Prince Sixtus of Bourbon-Parma, which contained a peace proposal. The book examines the political and social context of the time, as well as the psychological factors that may have contributed to the failure of these declarations. Foerster argues that the German government's inability to recognize the gravity of the situation and to take decisive action led to the failure of their peace efforts. The book provides a valuable insight into the complex dynamics of international politics during this period, and is a must-read for anyone interested in the history of World War I and its aftermath. This scarce antiquarian book is a facsimile reprint of the old original and may contain some imperfections such as library marks and notations.
