Born In Post War Germany Of Concentration Camp Surviving Parents, Miriam Immigrated To America With Her Family In 1962. Educated Both In The USA And Europe, She Has Lived And Taught In Many Parts Of The World: In Israel, Italy, Hungary, Switzerland, Ukraine, Poland, Romania, Russia, Slovenia, Mexico and of course the U.S. Etc. In 1999, Miriam Jaskierowicz Arman Authored The International Best Seller On Vocal Technique: "The Voice; A Spiritual Approach To Singing, Speaking And Communicating". In 2000, The CD, "The First Lesson" Was Released. The book is now being used at Universities as a textbook for Vocal Pedagogy students as well as voice students. Her Teaching Career Spans Over 23 Years And Her Intimate Involvement With Vocal Technique And Vocal Reconstruction Began More Than 35 Years Ago When She Reconstructed Her Own Voice Lost After Vocal Cord Surgery. To Date, She Is The Only Woman Worldwide Teaching Voice Production To Orthodox Cantors and Rabbis, Because In Her Teachings She Does Not Sing.
In 1997 She Founded The "International Academy Of Voice And Stage Inc. A Non-Profit Organization, of which she is the Executive Director. The Academy Is To The Advancement Of Bel Canto And "Giro Vocal Motion Vocal Technique", Which She Developed And Teaches. Her Work In The Field Of Vocal Pedagogy Has Been Featured On ABC World News Now, PBS,, Etc. Miriam Spends Her Time Teaching In Her Studio In New York (Brooklyn). "Soul Reflections", A Personal Odyssey In Poetry And Paintings, And The CD With Originally Composed Music By Cellist Mme. Johanne Perron Were Released In March 2003. Soul Reflections Has Recently Been Nominated For The 2004 Pulitzer Prize. By The National Center For Jewish Cultural Arts.
