News from Facebook On November 22 I donated to the High Point Library, NC two new hardcover books I edited and published in 2011: "Голоса из прошлого: ...Россия--Советский Союз: 1917-1971" in Russian and "Voices From The Past: ...Russia--Soviet Union: 1917-1971" in English, which are the anthologies of short stories written by my father, Orest M. Gladky, from 1946-1977 and previously published in the Russian immigrant press in England, New York, San Francisco and Buenos Aires. Stories describe the life of ordinary people in the first Socialist country, the socialist "paradise" that was built on the soil of Great Russia.

Today I presentd my father's book "Voices From The Past" to the members of the High Point Women's Club and before lunch I read them a short story about the small boy Petrushka who was always hungry during those hungry years that followed the Revolution and Russian Civil War. I had several friends who came to cheer for me. Thank you Patty, Paula and Fran. I invited all members who would like to buy the book to come to Barnes and Noble when I would launch the book during the month of November (date to be posted soon). Olga.
