About the Author
Donna O'Meara has researched and documented volcanic eruptions for more than 20 years, reporting and recording her observations for the National Geographic Society and other associations. Her work has been the subject of documentaries produced by the Smithsonian Institution, National Geographic Television and the Learning Channel. She is co-founder of Volcano Watch International and lives atop the world's most active volcano, Kilauea, in Hawaii.
