Thesis presentation copy? Very nicely bound in full leather with gilt shield on front with doves in a row and “Deo Duce” below closely resembling the Wilkins family coat of arms. In excellent condition. Gilt edges all around; when fanned, the edges are a shimmering marbled effect. Embossed leather endpaper on front and back inside with changeable silk glued on free endpapers. Has several facsimile covers of presentations of Jonson’s work along with introduction, notes and glossary by Wilkins.
