The Vows That Break Us (Paperback or Softback)

Some vows are destined to break us.

Redd has finally made it to Eden. Determined to know more about the place of her birth and enraptured by the splendor and magic of this ancient village, she’s unaware at first that its beauty comes from a vow of sacrifice. Soon enough, the veil is lifted, revealing the true horror of the place. Only now she can’t leave.

John discovers there's no reasoning with the Council when it comes to saving Redd or anyone else. His only hope is to plant an Eternity Flower in the Beyond before the hour of sacrifice, or Redd will die. It’s a difficult task….and once his plans are thwarted by the unexpected person who lies injured in the woods, he realizes it may be impossible.

In 1590, Eleanor seals Eden’s fate when she sacrifices another to save her daughter, Virginia. Yet it's not easy to raise a child in the devil’s paradise, with most of the community against her. When Virginia decides to forge her own way forward, Eleanor resolves to do whatever is necessary to keep her close. Their twisted love pushes them into decisions with dire consequences that will last for centuries.

Immerse yourself in the fantastic land of Eden as Redd, John, and Eleanor’s stories come together in the explosive finale of this duology.
