About the Author

Dr Hamid A. Ghany is Director of the Sir Arthur Lewis Institute for Social and Economic Studies (SALISES) at The University of the West Indies, St Augustine. He was a former Dean of the Faculty of Social Sciences at The University of the West Indies, St Augustine.
