Almost very good condition in a good dustwrapper. A Pocket Guide to the British Sylva. Dark green cloth, gilt and black titles with gilt vignette to front board. 175 plates, 24 of which in colour and 151 from photographs by Henry Irving and the Author, also 57 text illustrations. 182 pages including index. Light rubbing to lower edge of boards. Boards clean. Text block browned. Front joint cracked, rear joint starting to crack. Hinges lightly pulled but binding is tight. Light browning to plate margins. One or two minor marks to contents but generally clean. Green dustwrapper with colour pictorial onlay of horse-chestnut fruit is browned, edge-rubbed and worn, small chips to edges, brown stain to spine. Packaged with care and promptly dispatched.
